Managing a self-referral

Self-referrals are managed in the same way as referrals from a GP or nurse. Here’s how to view, edit, and onward refer a self-referral.

Access the referral

  1. Go to Client Tools, then select Manage Referrals.

  2. This opens the referral screen where you can view all referrals.

For self-referrals, you may see one or both of the following flags:

  • Callback Requested – Indicates the client has asked for a call back.

  • Registered by Someone Else – Shows the referral was submitted on behalf of someone else.

View or edit the referral

  1. In the referral list, click View/Edit next to the referral.

  2. Under Referral Info, the source will show as Self-Referral.

  3. Click Manage This Referral and complete the five stages as needed.

Onward Refer the Client

If you need to onward refer the client to another hub:

  1. Go to Client Tools, then select Find Client.

  2. Click Show All and use the search box to find the client.

  3. Under Actions, click Case Data.

  4. Then click Onward Referral.

  5. In the Refer to Hub list, select the new hub.

  6. Click Create Onward Referral.
