Set up message templates

Learn how to create custom message templates and use them in client cases through Hub Management.

Before you start

To access message templates, you must have Hub Management permissions.


Step one: Navigate to message templates

  1. Log in to Elemental.

  2. Go to Administration.

  3. Click Hub Management.

  4. Select your hub (e.g. Social Prescribing Hub).

  5. In the Hub Management section, click Message Templates.


Step two: Create a new message template

  1. Click Create New Custom Message.

  2. Fill in the required fields using the below table.

  3. Click Save to store your template.

Template Title

Pick a title for your template. This appears in the drop-down menu when you select a template.

Message Type

Select whether the template is for SMS or Email.

Category

Select the type of template:

  • Case Created Template - Automatically sent when a case is created.

  • General Template - Can be sent at any stage.

Body

Input the content of your email or SMS.


Step three: Use a message template in a client case

  1. Use the Find Case feature to open a client’s case.

  2. Go to the Communication Centre.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the template you want to use.

  4. Click Send to deliver the message.
