In this article, we will detail how to use and access the tasks feature functionality.

Managing tasks in Elemental

You can access and manage tasks in Elemental using the Task Tools menu. Tasks are split into two types and can be filtered by status and due date.

Accessing tasks

  1. Click Task Tools in the main menu.

  2. Select Tasks.

Task types

  • Case Tasks are shown in green.

  • General Tasks are shown in red.

Use the Open and Completed tabs to switch between tasks that are still active or already completed.


Task status indicators

When viewing open tasks, you will see a coloured circle next to each task:

Red

Overdue.

Amber

Due today.

Green

Due in the future.

Grey

Completed or have not been given a completed date.


Updating a task

You can update task details, change the due date or owner, and mark a task as private.

  1. Under Actions, click Edit.

  2. Update the required fields.

  3. Click Save Changes.


Completing a task

To mark a task as complete:

  1. Go to the Actions menu.

  2. Tick the Complete checkbox.


Creating a general task

  1. Click Create General Task.

  2. Enter a title and description.

  3. On the Location list, select the location.

  4. Enter description for the task.

  5. Tick the Private Task checkbox if needed.

  6. Choose a due date and time.

  7. Select the hub and assigned owner.

  8. Click Save Changes.
