Referral Handlers, also known as Link Workers can be set up by someone with super user access for your project, or by a referral handler with the user access role that’s tagged to all the hubs the new user needs.
To set up a referral handler account, follow these simple steps.
Field | Information to enter |
Login name | The name and surname of the user, without spaces or special characters. If it’s already taken, simply add a number on the end. |
First Name | The user’s first name. |
Surname | The user’s surname. |
Gender | The user’s gender. |
Address | The user’s address. This is usually their work location. |
Town | The town of the user’s address. |
Email for the user | The user’s email address. This isn't mandatory but required for the password process. |
Click Administration then click Users.
Click Create New User then fill out the mandatory information using the table above.
On the User Roles list, select Link Worker.
On the Hubs list, select the hubs they need to manage referrals for then click Save Changes.
Warning: Please refrain from adding Health Worker titles to the link worker account as Health Worker titles is only applied to Referral Agents.
After creating your new user, give them their username and ask them to create their password by clicking Forgotten Password on the login page.
Unable to set up the user
If you don’t have a super user or referral handler who can set up your new referral handler, please raise your query through the Access Digital Assistant and quote "Raise a case" for this issue to passed on to a support engineer.
Ensure that you give the following information:
Any additional roles to the Referral Handler role.
The user’s mandatory information.
The hubs the user needs attaching to.
